Responsible Play
This page is for every Winnipeg Casino member and applies from the moment you register, whether you play in the Lobby, the Live Casino or Jackpots. It explains the controls you hold over your account and the support open to you.
What is our commitment to you?
Play at Winnipeg Casino should stay affordable, occasional and within limits you set.
Registration is open to people in jurisdictions where the law allows online gambling, and each new account is screened against Canadian rules on identity, minimum age and anti-money-laundering. Members of our staff are taught to notice patterns that point to harmful gambling, and if your play changes sharply, they may contact you by email. Accounts that have chosen a cooling-off period, and accounts that have chosen self-exclusion, get no messages about Promotions, Winnipeg Rewards or the VIP Club.
How soon does a new limit start?
A reduced limit is active right away. An increased limit takes 24 hours.
Lowering a limit is immediate. Raising or removing one waits 24 hours before it applies, so you have a full day to reconsider.
Which tools can I use on my account?
All of the tools listed below are available in your account settings, and our team will switch any of them on for you if you send us an email.
Limits on deposits, wagers and stakes
Pick a period, then cap your deposits, your overall wagering and your largest permitted stake. Once a limit is reached, that activity stays blocked on your account until the period ends.
Time alerts and reality checks
Set how often an on-screen reminder is shown during each session. It displays your playing time and your overall position, ahead or behind, and you then choose to continue or sign out.
Cooling-off
You decide how long the break lasts: anything from 24 hours to six weeks. Logging in, deposits and wagering are all blocked until it is over, and access is restored only on the end date you picked.
Self-exclusion
For a longer pause, ask for self-exclusion. Your account is suspended for the duration you choose, marketing to you stops entirely, and we take steps to prevent anyone registering a new account with your identity.
Account closure
To leave for good, simply ask us to close your account. Once verification is finished, we return any remaining balance through a payment option held under your own name.
Identity and location checks
We need to confirm your identity, your age and that you are playing from a permitted location before you can make a deposit. Each of these checks must be finished before any funds are added.
How do we protect minors?
Holding an account here requires a minimum age of 19.
Age is verified before any deposit, and accounts held by a minor are closed. Keep your login details away from anyone under 19, and consult our Age Policy for guidance on shared devices and filtering tools.
Is there a way to assess my own gambling?
The self-assessment quiz is entirely private, and you can finish it in a few minutes.
The quiz asks plain questions, for example:
- Are you spending more than you meant to?
- Do you return to win back losses?
- Have you taken loans or sold possessions to pay for gambling?
- Has gambling caused tension at home or at work?
- Do you get restless when trying to play less?
If several answers are yes, consider setting limits, starting a cooling-off period or speaking with one of the organisations below.
